Position Overview :

The role will lead the purchase function, developing and implementing strategies to optimize purchasing processes, manage supplier relationships, and achieve cost efficiencies. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company’s goals and standards.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to establish long-term partnerships that ensure the availability of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor the procurement team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the procurement budget, monitoring spending, and implementing cost-control measures to achieve financial goals.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in the supply chain, making data-driven recommendations to senior management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment on product specifications and timelines.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies, mitigating risks associated with supplier contracts and procurement processes.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement activities, providing regular reports to senior management on progress and outcomes.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification is preferred.
  • 10 + years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
