The position heads Finance, Accounts, Audit and Taxation. S/he is responsible for ensuring compliance of all the above functions to meet corporate guidelines and adhere to all external compliance requirements of the Government, Auditors and lending agencies. S/he is responsible for:-

  • Provide support to the Board of Directors and shareholders as needed.
  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the Company’s fiscal functions & discipline from every relevant perspective.
  • Manage treasury & banking relations, project finance & working capital requirements, accounting, tax compliance and audit functions with the necessary processes and internal controls to safeguard the Company assets & financials.
  • Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, and special analysis and information reports.
  • Actively participates on planning and policy-making committees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Strategic Finance
  • Support the Organization in developing strategy around corporate finance, finance operations and risk management
  • Implement all strategic decisions of the Board and advise the management on various financial aspects of business.
  • Risk and commercial viability evaluations
  • Partner with Senior Management and translate the overall corporate strategy into financial and business plans and projections
  • Resource Allocation: Work out viability studies of all Projects and means of financing for the projects envisaged.
Accounting, Internal Control, Audit and Process/ Operations
  • Consolidation of accounts under IndAs
  • Ensure day to day accounting processes are aligned across the group companies and plants.
  • Evaluate material costing and cost centres that professes input costs, product pricing and profitability across businesses.
  • Accounts payables & receivables management, vendor evaluation and grading.
  • Prepare various tax liabilities month & quarter wise, payment of taxes, refunds and contentious issues to address according to prevailing tax laws.
  • Develop effective internal controls and audit processes, liaison with authorities and submissions. Satisfy the audit requirements with regards to the observations by Auditors.
  • Monitor quality and standardization of financial statements.
  • Set corporate guidelines for authorization limits.
  • Coordinate with all functional heads for the speedy resolution of all financial issues
  • Monitor tax planning and compliance (both direct & Indirect tax)
  • GST Management
  • Ensure timely finalization, consolidation and closing of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and Yearly accounts as per the accounting / statutory requirements
  • Groom the team and develop successor. Upgrade the skills of the team by providing learning opportunities.
  • Educate the cross- functional teams on certain key topics relevant to the business
Qualification and technical skills required to execute the role.
  • A Chartered Accountant/MBA Finance with 12 to 15 years of experience from manufacturing organizations.
  • Previous working experience at leadership role for at least 3 years
  • A strong track record of maintaining internal controls & compliance as well as mitigating risks & fraud.
  • Hands-on experience with Financial Management Software, ERP and SAP. Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Leadership, networking & analytical skills, eye for details, negotiating skills, conflict & people management skills.
