Summary:
Highly skilled and experienced Business Development and Sales Manager to oversee our Agro Commodities business in Africa based out of Dubai.
Job Objective/ Purpose of Job:
Responsible for driving sales, developing new business opportunities, managing P&L, fundraising, interacting with financial institutions, and overseeing export documentation processes.
Should have a strong background in Agro Commodities sales, possess excellent commercial acumen, and be familiar with the African market dynamics.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive sales of Agro Commodities out of Africa, ensuring consistent growth and profitability.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities in the Agro Commodities sector across Africa, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with potential clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Monitor and analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify areas for business growth and improvement.
- Assume P&L responsibilities for the Agro Commodities division, tracking financial performance, and implementing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with financial institutions to secure funding for various business initiatives, including expansion plans, working capital, and investment projects.
- Oversee and ensure the accuracy and compliance of export documentation, including contracts, shipping documents, and customs requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, shipping companies, government agencies, and other industry partners.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of sales professionals, fostering a high- performance culture and ensuring the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Stay updated with industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes that may impact the Agro Commodities business, and recommend appropriate actions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, or a related field. A relevant master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in Agro Commodities Sales, particularly within the African market.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse market trends, identify business opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing P&L responsibilities, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and financial institutions.
- Familiarity with export documentation processes and international trade regulations.
- Proven track record in fundraising and securing financial support from banks, investors, or other funding sources.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.
